Questions to ask your alarm system specialist

Are you a member of CASIA?

Yes. CASIA is a Charter State association of the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association. Its members agree to maintain a high level of conduct and services under a Code of Ethics set by CASIA.



Are your technicians licensed?

Connecticut mandates that all technicians be licensed C-5 or C-6, L-5 or L-6 to install alarm systems. Our technicians also are up to date on, or exceed, the 7 hours of continuing education required annually by the state.



Does the contract have a 3-day right of rescission?

Yes. This is mandatory for all residential contracts. Hastey Security Services also provides this for commercial contracts.



Will I own my equipment?

Yes. Hastey Security Services doesn't provide $199.00 specials. The equipment installed is yours and comes with a 1 year warranty.



How is my monitoring agreement structured?

Hastey Security Services provides 1 year, 3 year and 5 year monitoring agreements. We don't provide a "low cost" alarm system and then lock you into an expensive 5 year contract in the fine print of your contract.



If I require service for my alarm system, who will I talk to and when can I expect service?

At Hastey Security Services you will talk directly to the owner, a local businessman. You won't be connected by an 800 number to someone overseas, then re-directed to the local branch. Hastey Security Services provides emergency service 24/7 and normal service, in most cases, the next day.
